My Mother's Day

I am extra blessed and extra thankful on this day every year.  I spent several years wondering if I would become a mother.  I know the pain and the heartache of going out in public on Mother's Day and being hyper aware of pregnant women and adorable babies.  Those days are still very vivid in my mind and I am easily reminded just how blessed I am.  I am a mother.  If you are a mother in waiting, I hope your day comes soon.  If you are a birth mother, thank you.  If you are an adoptive mother, you totally understand.

Birth Mother's Day

I repost this every year...
Do you know about Birth Mother's Day? Birth Mother's Day is celebrated the Saturday before Mother's Day.  It is a somewhat controversial holiday, some say it is a way to celebrate birth mothers while others say it should be a day of grieving versus a celebration.  The day itself was actually started by birth mothers.  If you are interested in learning more about the history of Birth Mother's Day click here.
