Yep, He's Mine

To the sales lady at the mall today who went out of her way to walk over to Rogan and I, look at each of us carefully then bluntly ask, "Is he yours?".  Yep, he's mine.
This cowboy boot wearing, Mickey Mouse obsessed, tractor and truck loving, brown skinned, dimple faced, dark haired, brown eyed boy is all mine.

Ms. Salesperson also asked Rogan if he had new shoes, he said "no boots."  Again, duh.

Be smarter sales lady.

I don't get that much down here if it is just Charlie and me. Most people assume I married a Hispanic. When we are all out together, then the questions come. Once an adult asked if we were babysitting. Never mind Charlie had just said "Daddy can we go now?" to my husband. I find it more annoying from adults than children.

I don't understand people. That is such a rud thing to ask people, especially in this day and age when there are so many families joined by marriage, adoption, etc. Even though Samuel looks nothing like us (way cuter!), we never get questions.

I am an adoptive mother of 3 children--ages 10(blonde & blue-eyes), 6(dark brown & brown-eyes), and 5(bright red head& blue eyes). I am age 50 and my husband 53. So everyone when I take all three out with me--I am always the recipient of the comment.."Do you have the grandkids for the day?!?
So I don't know if that makes the comments from the salesperson any easier...some folks just make foolish comments!

We went to Disney recently--and it was hard to enjoy our vacation due to ALL the CRAZIES asking us a million questions! I just don't get it. Adoption is common--get with it people :)
