I was recently told about Crisis Pregnancy Outreach (CPO). CPO is an organization here in Oklahoma that provides counseling, assistance and support free of charge to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. A friend of mine was a young unwed mother and used their services. She raved about CPO and suggested they may be a good resource for readers of my blog.
Besides the numerous pregnancy services offered by CPO they also facilitate open adoptions. CPO is a licensed Oklahoma adoption agency. The following requirements apply to all adoptive families:
* Nonsmoking
* Committed Christians
* Home study ready
* Commit to one parent being at home until the child is in at least first grade
* Commit to an open adoption. Adoptive parents must agree to allow and provide as much contact as the birth mother desires.
* Have been married at least 3 years.
CPO accepts adoptive families not only from Oklahoma but from other states as well. If you meet the CPO requirements and are interested about learning more you may visit their website at www.crisispregnancyoutreach.org.

Thanks for sharing the info!!
Thanks again for sharing that info. If we were game for that much openess we would apply. The only other sticking point is the whole, "be home with the baby until first grade" thingy. That isn't necessarily an option for everyone and exclude a LOT of families. Again, though, thanks for sharing!
